The lashing cage model BA-164G is according to its design for use in exceptional conditions, as specified in the RD 1215/1997 of 18 July , which regulates the minimum safety and health requirements for the its use by the personnel.
Its design also complies with the General Collective Agreement IV Construction Sector. BOE 17/07/2007 197 from Spain and with UNE EN 14502-1:2006 for the European Union.
This product should only be used in exceptional cases, as disposed in the RD 1215/1997.
The exceptional situation assumptions are:
- Technical impossibility to use equipment designed for lifting people.
- Hazards due to the working environment or to the need an auxiliar y devices for lifting people inside the machinery space, are greater than the ones that would result from the use of machinery for lifting loads, which is adapted for lifting people.
- Emergency situations, such as, evacuation of people, immediate repair to avoid serious and imminent dangers, etc.. In precaution of use in the above cases (except for emergency situations) the following procedure should be followed:
- Situation description and justification of it.
- Development of a specific work procedure for the each application.
- Definition and quantification of the human and material resources.
- Risk Assessment.
- Adoption of the most appropriate preventive and control measures.
- Estimate of the necessary preventive resources.
